Locked Down
During 2020 when Covid-19 Lockdown restrictions were at their peak, Mary took the opportunity to photograph local portraits (from a distance). During a period of great uncertainty, this became a welcomed activity to record this very strange period. Photographing the changing landscape and people in their workplace or at home was initially seen as an historical project with the intention of having images to remind us of this time when we look back. However, it was using Therapeutic Photography project, developing self-efficacy and self-esteem for Mary as an out of work photographer and bring about better community connections whilst raising money for 3 charities: Spread A Smile, Red Trust Bushey and Homestart (Watford).
